Abstract

This paper proposes a new technique for finding the Nth root of numbers. Nth root is one of the important functions in basic arithmetic and indices. The method is valid for signed and unsigned real numbers. The applicability of the proposed method is demonstrated by means of a program written in C++. This technique is an effective way of finding the Nth root of numbers.

Keywords: Nth root, approximation, exponent, indices, decimal-to-binary conversion, signed, unsigned, basic arithmetic
