Abstract

This paper shows how numerical techniques can be implemented in an HIV model. The model incorporates latently infected class as well as immune response. The feasible region of the models and positivity of the solution were examine. The results show that the models were epidemiologically and mathematically well-posed in the region. Maple is used to perform the computations. The numerical results obtained using Differential Transformation Method (DTM) is in complete agreement with the existing literature.

Keywords: HIV infection, invariant region, differential transformation method
