Abstract

Lack of adequate health data monitoring system has led to the death of many patients in hospitals across the country. The inadequacy of this system poses a serious problem in the health sector. Doctors and other healthcare professionals find it difficult to transmit ascertained health issues of many patients particularly in emergency situations. To improve the situation, there is need to develop information system to enhance the performance of our healthcare professionals to deliver quality healthcare services. In this paper, we present a conceptual model for developing an integrated health data monitoring system using Unified Modelling Language (UML). When fully implemented, the model can be used to monitor citizens’ health issues in Nigeria.
