Abstract

Recharging is the essential part of any groundwater resource development scheme. Water table variations largely depend on this process. In this paper, an approximate numerical solution has been developed to compute water table variations in response to constant rate of recharge and time varying recharge. Characteristic behaviours of the solution are illustrated with the help of a numerical example and solution is obtained by using finite difference method.
