Abstract
The effect of porosity on the reflection and transmission of elastic waves due to incident longitudinal wave at a plane interface between two dissimilar thermoelastic saturated porous half-spaces has been investigated. Amplitude and energy ratios of the reflected and transmitted waves for incident coupled longitudinal waves are obtained analytically and numerically. These ratios are computed numerically for different values of porosity and discussed the effect of porosity. We have found that these ratios are functions of angle of incidence, coefficients of thermal stresses, porosity, elastic and Biot's parameters.
