Abstract
The problem of combined heat and mass transfer on mixed convection flow of an exothermic fluid in a vertical parallel-plate channel in the presence of symmetric wall temperature and concentration has been studied. The governing equations are solved by using semi-analytical method (Differential Transformation Method). The results show that, the maximum flow velocity, temperature and concentration are recorded at the lower plate by showing an increase in the symmetric wall temperature and concentration while opposite phenomenon is observed at the upper plate.
A point of intersection is also observed at the centre of the channel, in which symmetric wall temperature and concentration have no effect. The present results is in good agreement with the previously published numerical results.
