Abstract

Quinazoline derivatives have different biological activities. Quinazoline derivatives occupy a distinct and unique place in the medicinal chemistry as they possess diverse biological activities. This feature of quinazoline would make an excellent outline for a lead invention library. This review focuses on biological actions of quinazoline on various targets along with the brief account of the targets. As on date, various clinically used drugs are quinazoline derivatives. The literature is self explanatory about the clinical therapeutic potential of quinazoline and its derivatives. This review has presented a comprehensive detail of quinazoline and its derivatives which are under clinical trial. It would be interesting to see the outcome of these clinical trials. This review has presented a comprehensive detail of quinazoline derivatives.
