Abstract
A simple and efficient practical approach to 1H-pyrazolo[1,2-b]phthalazine-5,10-diones from phthalhydrazide, malononitrile, and aldehydes was developed that uses boehmite nanoparticles (BNPs) as a green catalyst in a solvent-free one-pot three-component cyclocondensation reaction. This method should provide good yields, a shorter reaction time, an easy work-up, purification of products by the non-chromatographic method, and a cleaner reaction. It is a new strategy for the N-fused heterocyclic synthesis, which has a wider application in organic and medicinal chemistry.
