Abstract
In this present work, the nanostructured La0.64Sr0.36MnO3 perovskites at various grain sizes has been synthesized by mechanical milling method followed by the solid state reactions. The structural, surface morphology, optical and electrochemical properties have been studied using X-ray diffraction, Scanning electron microscopy, UV-Visible absorption spectroscopy, Photoluminescence spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetric studies. The XRD pattern of the nanostructured LSMO perovskites confirm the pure rhombohedral phase. The SEM micrographs confirm the intrinsically homogeneous agglomerated spherical like morphology with undistributed pores. The UV-Vis spectra confirm that, the grain size is closely related to the absorption spectrum. The PL study confirms the semiconductor nature of the synthesized nanostructured LSMO perovskites. The cyclic voltammetric study clearly proves the semiconducting nature of the prepared nanoperovskites with an increase in zero current cell potential.
