Abstract

In this study, the structure of pure polystyrene doped with different ratio (10, 15, 20 and 25) Wt% of copper were investigated by FTIR spectroscopy before and after 200 rad Gamma irradiation. All samples prepared by casting method. The effect of adding copper and gamma irradiation clearly illustrated in FTIR spectra. CH2 wagging and C-H stretch aliphatic bands disappeared after irradiation. Also, AFM micrograph had been taken to demonstrate the roughness and grain size of samples.
