Abstract

Fluent rate calculation in photochemical reactor using ultraviolet (UV) to disinfect water with diffusely radiating cylinder of infinite length as a source of UV is considered. The dependence of fluence rate from diameter of radiating cylinder is analytically examined. Extreme case with radiating cylinder diameter tending to zero is shown. Based on ”effective interval” comparison of fluence rate for cylinders of finite and infinite length is reported. For numerical integration in fluence rate calculations, it is suggested to use Chebushev method.
