Abstract

The objective of this research was to study the potential of waste Egg shell powder (ESP) as reinforcing and biodegradable agents for Ricinoleic acid (1%) Linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) composites. The resulting composites were evaluated through mechanical properties in terms of tensile and Izod notched impact following ASTM procedures. The tensile strength of the composites increase with increasing ESP content.

Keywords: Egg shell powder, LLDPE, tensile strength, impact strength
