Abstract

In the present paper, a model is suggested to study the temperature dependence of speed of sound in liquids. The present model has been applied in more than fifty liquids. The maximum and minimum temperature range studied is 293.15-393.15 K and 288.15-318.15 K, respectively except in case of liquid metals. The present model is found to be quite successful in representing the temperature dependence of speed of sound in case of all liquids studied here which is quite evident from the standard deviation reported.

Keywords: Speed of sound, temperature and liquids
