Abstract

The problem of a natural convectively heated heat transfer flow of a moving/stationary vertical plate has studied under the influence of thermal radiation, magnetic field and porous material. The non-dimensional governing equations of the velocity, temperature, skin friction as well as Nusselt number are solved subject to a set of appropriate boundary conditions using perturbation technique. The solutions obtained are graphically represented and the effect of various controlling parameters such as thermal radiation (R), Hartman number (m) thermal Biot number (Bh) and Darcy number (Da) are discussed. It is interesting to report that, by varying these pertinent parameters, the velocity of the fluid can be significantly controlled.
