Abstract

With reference to the currently believed strong coupling constant, nuclear binding energy and nuclear beta stability line can be understood. It is possible to show that, there exists a characteristic binding energy potential of magnitude 19.7 MeV.

Keywords: Semi empirical mass formula, strong coupling constant
