Abstract

Lower and upper magic numbers of n=1,3,5,.. can be predicted at [n2 + 2n-1] and [n2+2(n+2)+1] respectively. Similarly, lower and upper magic numbers of n=2,4,6,..can be predicted at [n2 +2(n+1)] and [n2 +2(n+3)] respectively. This proposal can be extended for predicting the stable super heavy elements.

Keywords: Odd principal quantum shells, even principal quantum shells, lower magic series, upper magic series
