Abstract
Investments in resilient infrastructures like transport, energy, information and communication technology and strong educational facilities are fundamental towards achieving sustainable development and empowering societies in countries. Evidences have shown that growth in human productivity and incomes, improvements in health and education outcomes require huge investment in infrastructures. Creating an all-inclusive and sustainable industrial development is the primary source of innovation for sustainable development. This study adopted a purposeful and descriptive research design. A validated and reliable questionnaire was structured along a six-point Likert type scale. Multiple statistical analyses were conducted with the aid of SPSS version 23 to evaluate and interpret data on Nigeria’s efforts so far in building resilient Infrastructures, promoting inclusive and sustainable industrialization that will foster innovation through higher education in line with United Nations sustainable development goal-9 by 2030. The results from faculty revealed that the Nigerian governments have done far less than other sub-Saharan African countries in particular and the west in general. This study will benefit and propel Nigeria’s government, national economic planners, higher education leaders and researchers who need to know the practical and true state of the infrastructures, inclusion and sustainable industrialization and innovative efforts in Nigeria.
