Abstract

Performance appraisal is a vital tool at the organizations that helps top managements in decision making process. Also, it helps HRM to justify payment increases and bonuses, as well as termination decisions.

This study focuses on five objectives they are: identifying the factors that affect performance appraisal in Riyadh Private hospitals and identifying the top management actions based on the performance appraisal results.

By statistically analyzing the results using Chi-Square Goodness of Fit, the research study aims to assess the employees’ awareness about the performance appraisal variables and their satisfaction about the performance appraisal techniques.  In addition, it aims to recognize the performance appraisal role in improving employees’ performance.
