Abstract
Aims: To compare the physicochemical properties of ten military chemical agents belonging to different toxicological classes in the context of rhamnolipid-based surface decontamination.
Study Design: A comparative analysis of physicochemical data obtained from publicly available chemical databases.
Methodology: Molecular mass, lipophilicity, topological polar surface area, water solubility, and vapour pressure were examined. A heat map was prepared using normalized molecular mass and topological polar surface area values. Hierarchical cluster analysis was performed using Euclidean distance and Ward’s method.
Results: The analysis revealed differences in molecular size and polar surface properties among the selected chemical agents. The comparative evaluation enabled the systematic characterization of their physicochemical parameters, while material properties were considered separately in the theoretical assessment of surface interactions.
Conclusion: The findings provide a comparative physicochemical framework for further investigation of rhamnolipid-based surface decontamination and the identification of additional evaluation criteria.
