Abstract

This paper presents the results of study of ontogenesis and structural organization of Nepeta bucharica (Lipsk.) individuals. It has been established that depending on the habitat conditions plants form two ontobiomorphs: loosely bushy and densely bushy. A functional-zonal series of monocarpic shoots of two ontobiomorphs is described. The change in biomorph is connected with different length and extension of the lower zone of inhibition. Plants in ontogenesis undergo the phases sequentially: primary shoot→axis→primary bush. Duration of the axis phase provides survival of young plants in unfavorable weather conditions.
