Abstract
This study focuses on the scrublands of Tlemcen southern slopes located in the extreme west of the Algeria. These formations, today characterized by an apparent reduction of their surface marking a well-advanced degradation caused by strong anthropogenic pressure.
The purpose of this article is to present the biogeographical distribution and the level of rarity in this distribution of the South side vegetation; it is useful to establish a comprehensive inventory of all the plant species surveyed. We insist on these scrublands vulnerability in Western Algeria.
The results show a Mediterranean species dominance on other types of distribution. The results show a predominance of Mediterranean species (34.75%) over other types of distribution, then those of the West Mediterranean (with 8.47%) of the overall distribution of the flora of the study area.
