Abstract
The study critically reviewed existing training evaluation models to evaluate transfer of learning intervention and propose a practical model for managers and practioners to assess their transfer of learning needs.
Design/Methodology/Approach: A literature review was carried out of existing models presented to evaluate learning transfer intervention. Using this review, a new model was developed.
Findings: Limitations of the existing models show complexity in most of the times while implementation. In this context, there is a dire need to develop a new inclusive model helpful and manageable for evaluation within the organizations by human resource managers and practioners. We suggest a new SSLO-E model based on five stages to catch the dominant part of learning transfer activities in the organizations.
Practical Implications: Evaluation of organizational intervention poses a problem and develops a gap in implementation. The framework offered by the new model helps the practitioners to evaluate the organizational interventions.
Originality/Value: The paper offers a novel idea and model help managers and professionals to evaluate learning transfer as a result of training.
