Abstract
The scientific and technological revolutions especially, in the communication industry has greatly enhanced global interconnectivity, free movement of goods and services, and expansion of knowledge. This phenomenon has given rise to a borderless world, and reduced the world to a global village. Therefore, this paper seeks to examine how globalization can be used to advance African Cultural renaissance. In accomplishing this task, the qualitative method was adopted. It was discovered that with the development of various means of communication, Africans stand to gain from a cultural reawakening and revival by effectively using the tools of globalization. It suggests that since Africa has a Diaspora community that occupies a global space, globalizing the continent’s cultural heritage will become another way of returning to the source, and more importantly laying the foundation for the much desired unity in the continent.
