Abstract
The main purpose of the research was to investigate the prevalence causes and the consequences of job-related stress among higher university workers. The sample size was 100 workers selected using a convenience sampling method. Data were analysed using descriptive statistics such as mean, and presented in Tables. The findings show that there is a high prevalence of job-related stress among the respondents in the survey, with various causes as well as consequences. Management of higher institutions should consider the findings of the current study in dealing with stress management to ensure higher productivity in higher institutions. Various policies should be put in place to deal with the causes of stress and to avoid the negative consequences identified in the survey.
