Abstract
In order to effectively ease the burden of excessive homework and off-campus tutoring for students undergoing compulsory education (double reduction for short), the general office of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council ask the primary and secondary schools across the country to implement the “double reduction” policy. The autumn semester of 2021 is the first semester after the implementation of the “double reduction” in primary and secondary schools in China, and the effect of its implementation has attracted much attention. By designing a questionnaire, the parents of primary and secondary school students were randomly investigated to explore the preliminary effect of the implementation of the “double reduction”, so as to provide a reference basis for primary and secondary schools across the country to further implement and improve the “double reduction” policy and improve after-school service level and teaching quality.
