Abstract
In recent years, the integration of multimedia resources has become an essential component in language education, providing learners with engaging and authentic materials. Among these resources, films are increasingly recognized as valuable tools that can enhance learners’ listening comprehension and cultural awareness. This study aims to explore the perceptions of ten Physical Education students regarding the use of films as a medium to enhance their listening skills. Employing a qualitative design, data were collected through questionnaires and semi-structured interviews, then analyzed thematically to identify key themes related to advantages, challenges, and learning strategies. Findings revealed that participants view films as engaging, enjoyable, and educational tools that support the development of vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and overall listening comprehension. However, challenges such as accent variation, dependence on subtitles, and technical constraints were also identified. The study underscores the pedagogical value of films in English instruction and suggests the need to integrate multimedia resources to create authentic and motivating learning experiences.
