Abstract
Environmental pollution is a serious problem and threatens our fragile environment that is so vital for our survival. Air pollution is expected to have a pronounced effect on vegetation near to industry. The air pollutants cause direct and indirect effect on microbial community. Interactions between air pollutants and plant pathogen on mustard plant may affect pathogenesis. The susceptibility of plants growing around polluted sites to microbial pathogens may be altered and the disease development may be influenced.
Keywords: Pollution, leaf spot disease, biotic and abiotic pathogens, suspended particulate matter.
