Abstract
In the latter years, the possibility of taking advantage of the unusual properties of the so- called metamaterial technology has led to a great deal of research activity. In this paper two bandpass filters are proposed by introducing the metamaterial effect in the normal substrate. It achieved negative effects from the normal substrate material with the compact circuit size of the structure. Both designed filters have same filter specifications but the shapes are different at 1.5 GHz. Both proposed filters are simulated and characterized using Method of Moments based IE3D simulator.
