Abstract

The current humanist points out that in general people's life is dominated by the need to update, so the assertion of one's personality, more than the simple needs of a balance with the environment. Rewarding day doing appear as the result of an effort of human development beyond permanent attempts to overcome the minor frustration that can appear everywhere.

The article highlights some of the many presented the meanings of the concept of social and psychological satisfaction with life, subjective well-being.

The main motivation for choosing the theme of the research consisted of small number of research conducted in our country on quality of life, needs and social services for the elderly, along with personal inclination and sensitivity towards this population.

Methods used for data collection are focused-group, sociological inquiry based on questionnaires and unstructured observation, as well as psychological tests that enshrined Rosenberg Self-Esteem and Bradburn Scale of Psychologic Well-Being.

The objective of the study is to demonstrate that satisfaction with life and joy of life do not depend on man's biological age.
