Abstract
Transient thermal and hydrodynamics behaviours of fluid flow in micro-converging plates are studied numerically at different Reynolds number. Effects of Reynolds number (Re= 45, 220 and1325) on the hydrodynamics and thermal behaviours are investigated. “Halt” condition which halt the temperature in the micro-converging plate has been found. The halt condition obtained from the numerical study is found to be valid in the limit of Reynolds numbers less than 220 (Re < 220). Also, it is found that the maximum velocity in the converging micro-channel increases as the location proceeds and Reynolds number decreases.
