Abstract
The paper presents theoretical analysis of electromagnetic force/torque calculation by means of both Lorentz and Maxwell methods. The paper has dealt with the problem of calculation of electromagnetic torque with the help of formula provided in [1]. On the contrary, new extended necessary and sufficient condition is introduced basing on Lorentz force formula and Maxwell equations. The extended condition for force/torque surface representation is introduced allows to apply both Lorentz (volume integral) and Maxwell stress (surface integral) methods for anisotropic region with symmetrical both reluctivity and permittivity matrices. Keywords: Electromagnetic force and torque, anisotropy, surface integral theorem
