Abstract
The chemically modified silica gel with [3-(2-aminoethyl)aminopropyl] trimethoxysilane was used to adsorb H[Ru(III)Cl2(H2EDTA)] complex. The material was incorporated into carbon paste electrode and by means of cyclic voltammetry its electrochemical properties were investigated. However, for oxygen saturated solution an enhancement of the cathodic peak current was detected due to the electrocatalytic reduction. The electrode presented the same response for at least 300 successive measurements with a good repeatability. The modified electrode is very stable and reproducible. Keywords: Inorganic compounds, H[Ru(III)Cl2(H2EDTA) complex, adsorption, electrochemical properties
