Abstract
In this paper the authors propose an approach for an early warning system of citizens to weather conditions and air pollution using it as an e-service on a central portal or like distributed e-services at the local level of cities or municipalities. This solution is practically one implementation of medical knowledge about the impact of weather conditions and air pollution on the health of citizens in a software application based on computers, communications and control which is developed with support of Ministry of sciences Republic of Serbia and installed for testing on the web sites of town Nis and Institute occupational health Nis. Also, it is known that there are many realizations of different systems for the early warning of citizens to weather conditions, air pollution and other atmospheric and general environmental factors and they are usually located in developed countries. The main characteristic of the proposed solution is the possibility of creating the database on health consequences of unfavourable meteorological factors and air pollution, also these consequences and later using this data for predicting a future correction in the proposed model. This feature will allow monitoring of the effectiveness of solutions and possible correction limits of meteorological factors and air pollution for certain classes of health risks.
