Abstract
This paper deals with the assessment of accuracy and efficiency of some iterative methods used in elastic contact problems. A space-time discrete incremental variational formulation of a quasi-static frictional contact problem is proposed as well as some iterative algorithms devoted to this type of numerical resolution. The presented iterative methods are tested, evaluated and compared on a benchmark example frequently addressed in contact mechanics.
