Abstract
This paper deals with a numerical procedure to solve some non-linear solid models predicting multiple irreversible processes which can occur simultaneously. Based on well-known Return Mapping Algorithms, we propose to investigate a convenient method for the implementation of constitutive equations governed by yield criteria describing several coupled irreversible mechanisms. The presented algorithmic procedure includes a wide-ranging class of yield criteria some of which are frequently used in the engineering field. In order to illustrate the predictive abilities of this numerical procedure, a non-linear solid model including two irreversible processes is proposed and assessed on a contact problem with friction.
