Abstract
A series of new 4-chloro-(5-aliphatic/cyclic saturated amino)-2-o-chlorophenyl-(2H)-pyridazin-3-one derivatives 4a-l were synthesized from the reaction of [2-(o-chlorophenyl)]-4,5-dichlolopyradizin-3-one 3 with various amines and evaluated for anticancer, antiangiogenic and antioxidant properties. Compounds 4e and 4i were most active against the selected cancer cell lines and therefore, they were further evaluated for their potential to inhibit the proangiogenic cytokines involved in tumor progression. Compounds 4a and 4e exhibited good DPPH radical scavenging activity, compounds 4a, 4e, 4f, 4g, and 4i were excellent hydroxyl radical scavengers and compound 4g is better SOR scavenging agent than standard ascorbic acid.
