Abstract
Some data on the influence of cement substrate porosity on the probability of coatings peeling while the usage are given. On the example of polyvinyl-acetate-cement coating (PVAC) made calculations of probability of coatings peeling in the result of humidification – drying process. To define the probability of investigated coating peeling we tested painted samples with various substrate porosity (20 samples for each porosity) to define the change of adhesive strength at consecutive humidification and drying of coatings. We receive a diagram of changing the probability of peeling of PVAC coatings on substrates with various porosity during humidification. The given technique can be used in development of requirements to protective properties of paint and varnish coatings for various surfaces and operation conditions, and also for solving the problem of forecasting protective properties of coatings.
