Abstract

Introduction: Adhathoda vasica serves as an indigenous plant with its wide range of beneficial effects over diseases. The copper nanoparticles has many advantages along with a high yield reaction. A combination of these two magnificent materials can pave the way for showing a better antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity. This present study mainly focuses on estimating the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity of the A. vasica plant extract mediated by the copper nanoparticles. Both have their unique property which can give an even more effective result by its supra additive effect.

Aim: To estimate the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory property of A.vasica mediated Copper nanoparticless.

Materials and Methods: A copper nanoparticles is synthesized using Adhatoda vasica. Centrifugation was performed for a few minutes following the synthesis. The pellets were selected separately after the process. Then this was used to evaluate the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity of copper nanoparticles mediated by A. vasica nanoparticle. Anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activity was measured using UV-spectrophotometer.

Results: The A. vasica mediated copper nanoparticles has a positive antioxidant and anti-inflammatory property. The copper nanoparticles has a very strong catalytic ability that can be used in anti-inflammatory treatment. People also use this plant extract to treat common cough      and cold. This research aimed to find a better combination of copper nanoparticles controlled    by A. vasica in expressing its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory role while leading to disease prevention.

Conclusion: This study concluded that A. vasica mediated copper nanoparticles has good antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity at its high concentration which is nearer to that of the standard drugs.
