Abstract
This study was conducted in the nursery of the Forest Department / College of Agriculture and Forestry - University of Mosul and under the conditions of green house to study the effect of sources of pine (Pinus brutia Ten.) seeds collection from three regions in northern Iraq: Mosul (Nineveh Governorate), Zawita (Dohuk Governorate) and Koysinjak (Erbil Governorate) to the effect of soaking the seeds with humic acid at concentrations (0, 5, 10, 15) g/L-1 on the germination percentage and other growth characteristics of the seedlings. Where the seeds were sown in the spring of 2018 and the experiment lasted for two years and the results were taken in the fall of 2019 and the right full form of RCBD was used. The results of the study showed that there are significant differences between the treatments and that the seeds collected from Zawita and Koysinjaq region gave the best significant results in the percentage of germination and other growth characteristics of the seedlings compared to the seeds collected from the Mosul, and soaking with humic acid gave the best results in germination percentage and other characteristics in compared to the control treatment
